Congratulations to Dr. Hansu Kim, a former member of the SMSD Lab, on receiving the Young Scientist Award from the Asian Society for Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (ASSMO) at the Asian Congress of Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization 2026 (ACSMO 2026).
The award was presented in recognition of his outstanding presentation entitled “Multi-material Decomposition Optimization for Topology-optimized Structures Considering Additive Manufacturing Build Volume and Material Cost,” which was built on his research in SMSD under the supervision of Dr. Il Yong Kim.
