Teaching Assistant Award
Congratulations to Stephen Roper for being awarded the 2017 Brass Wrench. Voted on by the graduating class, this award is given to the T.A. in the department of Mechanical Engineering who displayed the greatest contribution towards their work. New SMSD Members!

Research Grant in Metal Additive Manufacturing
Congratulations to Dr. Kim and Dr. Daymond who have received a Dean’s Research Fund award for $100,000! The two teams will be collaborating to research targeted areas in metal additive manufacturing.
SMSD Welcomes Vishrut
Joining SMSD this winter is Vishrut Shah. Vishrut has traveled from India to complete his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Kim. We wish Vishrut the best of luck over the coming years.
