Jonathan Ryu Defends Thesis

Congratulations to Jonathan Ryu for successfully defending his thesis! Jonathan’s paper was titled “Multidisciplinary Design Optimization of Retractable Nose Landing Gears with Two Degrees of Freedom Considering Out of Plane Loading”.

New SMSD Server Installed

Our new server was successfully installed, and is up and running! Codenamed Lucky Cat, the server is sporting a total of 96 computer processing unit (CPU) cores, 192 CPU threads, 2 terabytes of random-access memory (RAM), 4 graphics processing units (GPU), and over 25 terabytes of storage.

Congratulations to Noah Ray and Kevin Chai for all their work on successfully installing the new server!

Stephen Roper Defends Thesis

Congratulations to Dr. Stephen Roper for successfully defending his thesis! Stephen’s paper was titled “Integrated Topology and Packaging Optimization Using the Component-Existence Model”.
