New SMSD Server Installed

Our new server was successfully installed, and is up and running! Codenamed Lucky Cat, the server is sporting a total of 96 computer processing unit (CPU) cores, 192 CPU threads, 2 terabytes of random-access memory (RAM), 4 graphics processing units (GPU), and over 25 terabytes of storage.

Stephen Roper Defends Thesis

Congratulations to Dr. Stephen Roper for successfully defending his thesis! Stephen’s paper was titled “Integrated Topology and Packaging Optimization Using the Component-Existence Model”.

Stephen has been an invaluable source of knowledge and experience for many in SMSD, and we are all wishing him the best in the future!

Vishrut Successfully Defends PhD
